October 3: The Witches
This one was a favorite of my family growing up. The effects look a bit clunky in light of today’s CGI-apalooza that seems to accompany every fantasy film, but I still love the little animatronic and puppet mice and the amazing effects makeup on all the witches in their various states of evilness. I also think Bruno’s family is likely related closely to the Dursleys!
